Like well-managed legal practices, all accountants at CPBMAC Business Solutions (and C-TATS) keep detailed, running, computerised records describing the job done and time taken. These records form the basis of calculating your investment in your business and are available to clients who require them. Unlike solicitors, we at CPBMAC Business Solutions (or C-TATS) do not charge for outgoings, the use of consumables such as photocopy paper, faxes, emails and the like. There is a reasonable charge for replacing lost records, not for the consumables involved but the time taken.

 

Engagement Letter

CPBMAC Business Solutions (and C-TATS) believes that it has a duty to let you know upfront what investment in your business you can expect to make.

Consequently, as ethical accountants we provide a document called our Engagement Letter when you express interest in appointing our firm to look after your interests. This document clearly sets out what we offer as services and your investment. You sign to indicate that you have understood the document.

You can make your investment by cash, cheque, visa, MasterCard or bank transfer. In certain circumstances, you may prefer to pay by way of authority to deduct from your tax refund. All investments are tax deductible.

 

Deposit

A deposit, usually in the amount of $500.00, is required from all new business clients. The amount can be varied in certain circumstances and your accountant will discuss that at the time you sign our Engagement Letter.

 

Fixed Investments

CPBMAC Business Solutions (and C-TATS) has fixed investments for many of its administrative services eg, the establishment of companies and trusts, the ASIC return for trustee companies, etc. These are set out in our Engagement Letter.

Our business clients are given the opportunity of opting for our “womb to tomb” service. CPBMAC Business Solutions (and C-TATS) do everything for them in an accountancy sense, month by month – BAS’s, monthly comparative accounts, tax returns for all entities, and extras like quarterly Business Health Reports, Tax Alerts, free consultations, free onsite visits (no matter which State), free newsletters, and so on. They invest a fixed sum in their business (at 25% discount to our normal rate) in twelve, equal monthly increments.

 

Investment Arrangements to Suit You

Other A-list clients whose income is seasonal arrange to make their expected investment in advance when they are “flush”. If somebody wants to do that, we are happy to estimate their likely investment at a discounted rate and wash it up when the work is completed – if we estimated too much we give them a refund; if we estimated too little, they make up the difference.
